Enhanced stipend competition

The stipend is awarded to Bachelor’s students in years 1-4 and Master’s students in years 1-2 who meet the following criteria:

• No subjects graded “satisfactory” at interim exams;
• No academic backlog;
• Student is eligible for government stipend;
• Achievements in the following fields listed in the Provision (in Russian): 
  • academic (parameters);
  • research (parameters);
  • social (parameters);
  • creative and cultural (parameters);
  • sports (parameters). 

** The competition for PGAS in public activities considers achievements in events affiliated with ITMO University and external events. In the achievements in the field of SMM, only publications in VKontakte and Telegram communities are taken into account.

Candidates are chosen once every semester as a result of a competition in accordance with the Provision. Since 2018, the applications are accepted online up to.

According to the results of the winter intermediate certification: 

• 9.02.2026 (from 12:00) - 13.02.2026 (until 18:00) - acceptance of applications from students of 1-4 courses of bachelor's degree, 1-2 courses of master's degree.
• Until 12.02.2026 (until 18:00) - submission and/or verification by students of the completeness and authenticity of their achievements in cultural, creative, social and sports activities in the ISU for verification by the responsible unit.

Additional competition: 

• Until 31.03.2026 (until 18:00) — sending letters to check the possibility of participating in the competition to the email ursi@itmo.ru by students of 1-4 courses of bachelor's degree, 1-2 courses of master's degree. 
• Until 06.04.2026 (until 18:00) — students' submission and/or verification of the completeness and accuracy of their achievements in cultural, creative, social, and sports activities in the ISU for verification by the responsible department.

Based on the results of the summer intermediate certification:

• 02.06.2026 (from 12:00) — 09.06.2026 (until 18:00) — acceptance of applications from students of the 4th course of the bachelor's degree, the 2nd course of the master's degree.
• Before 04.06.2026 until 18:00 — submission and/or verification by students of the completeness and accuracy of their achievements in the ISU (or other accounting systems) for verification by the responsible unit. 
• Before 24.06.2026 — publication of the results in the ISU and social media networks.

Additional competition:

• 03.07.2026 (from 12:00) — 09.07.2026 (until 18:00) — acceptance of applications from students of the 1st–3rd of the bachelor's program and year 1 of the master's degree.
• Before 06.07.2026 until 18:00 — submission and/or verification by students of the completeness and accuracy of their achievements in the ISU (or other accounting systems) for verification by the responsible unit. 
• Before 24.07.2026 — publication of the results in the ISU and social media networks.

Based on the results of university admission:

For first-year bachelor’s and master’s students. The dates of the competition will be announced later.

• September 1 – January 31 – for newly enrolled Bachelor’s and Master’s students;
• February 1 – June 30 – for Bachelor’s students in years 1-3, and Master’s students in 1st year;
• February 1 – May 30 – for Bachelor’s students in year 4th, and Master’s students in 2nd year;
• June 1 – August 31 – for Bachelor's students of the 4th year and Master’s students in 2nd year, in the case of receiving a post-graduation vacation
• July 1 – January 31 – for Bachelor’s students in years 1-3 and Master’s students in 1st year at the time of applying for the competition.

Students receive their stipend every month during the study semester after they have passed interim exams. 

The scholarship is paid monthly on 3-5 days of the previous month. The exceptions are December (for December, the payment occurs on the 27-29 days of December) and April (for April, the payment occurs on the 27-29 days of April).

The order for the scholarship for the next semester is formed based on the results of the previous session:

• July 26-27 following the results of the summer session
• September 26-27 for 1st year students (bachelor, master)
• February 24-25 at the end of the winter session

Based on the results of the 2025/2026 academic year's summer examination period, the amount of the Enhanced State Academic Scholarship (PGAS) ranged from RUB 7,118 to 37,287 RUB per month *

The amount depends on the number of points and the place in the rating, which is formed based on the results of consideration of applications by the competition commission.

The maximum amount of the stipend depends on the number of winners in each particular competition.

Stipend is transferred to the campus card issued to every student during their first year. 

*The amounts shown represent the minimum and maximum scholarship awarded in the most recent selection round. Scholarship amounts are reviewed each semester and may vary depending on the competition results.

1. Submission to the Competition is carried out in 5 directions
2. The score is summed up within each direction separately and normalized (in social activities, additional normalization is performed in internal directions)
3. The normalized scores in all directions are summed up and the final rating is normalized again
4. Applications are accepted online via ITMO’s ISU system:
